I love all the medicines so much, but the amount of sugar is just too much. Admittedly, I'm working on other areas where I can cut back on sugar in my diet. I will have to pause on these until I can keep things under control.
Hi Jessica,
Thank you for your review!
Our syrups are sweet indeed, though we use local, raw honey, not refined sugar.
To extract constituents from plants, herbalists traditionally either use alcohol, vinegar, honey, or water. This medicine is as sweet as it is to both extract and preserve without additives or chemicals, using honey and water extraction.
The result is a traditional herbal syrup. If you are finding them too sweet to take a spoonful (or swig) of, try diluting them in bubbly water with a squeeze of lemon for a yummy beverage or adding a couple of tablespoons to your tea.
Anemia runs in my family, and while I seem to wax and wane with it, my FMP and nutritionist recommended this, and I LOVE it. It tastes delicious! Not sure if it's because of the title but I do feel stronger.
My stepdaughter gave me some strong woman syrup, just in case. I tried it. I’ve found its effect to be subtly amazing, and I think it’s healing the forest fire damage done to my lungs.
Thanks and plant love to the makers of this lovely potion.
Genuinely delicious and so nutritious. Started during pregnancy for womb health and low iron, continuing forever.
Helped with CV recovery, dry wraspy throat and in general very nourishing for lung recovery.
